Tips For a Good Website Design

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Most people think that a website can be developed with little effort. The truth of the matter is that a good website design may take several days or even weeks for some to complete. Web sites consist of more than an attractive looking template and a few relevant articles. Thought and planning should be one of the initial processes in a good website design. A person does not switch jobs without prior planning and web sites should be no different.

The niche market that your website will pertain to has to be the initial item for you to consider. Some diligent investigation should be done to find a profitable and highly searched market to build your website design around. You need to do your research up front to find the highest searched, lowest competitive sales base that you can find because you need to remember that you can create the best looking web template and have the greatest products to market, but without customers it will all be done for nothing.

The number 2 item that you should think about is a domain name and hosting for your website design . Domain names serve as a content description for your website. The domain should describe to visitors in a short and sweet manner what your customers can expect to find when they come to your website. There are numerous sites on the Internet that you can visit to obtain suggestions on selecting a good domain name. Enter “domain name suggestions” into your web browser and you will come up with an abundance of web sites that offer information on the subject or a domain suggestion tool. Relating to hosting, it is my experience that you should spend some extra bucks and get a good hosting service to host your website. If you pick a cheap hosting service, well let’s just say you get what you put out money for. Hosting is the life blood of your web sites and you need hosting that is reliable and dependable.

Once you have a profitable niche market and a relevant domain name, it is now time to begin what most people deem as website design. A lot of people think that web design means solely design of a web design template. The truth is, as I said before, website design consists of numerous factors and the web design template is one of those factors. Anyway, you can now begin to choose the template that will present your website. Choosing a web template can be done in a lot of ways.

1.) Most website hosting services offer free website builders as part of the hosting package. Although these site builders can be used to develop your web design, there will be limitations as to what you as a newbie can do to change your website files. You will be required to use a control panel to do this.

2.) Available are quite a few sites on the Internet that present you with free websites or free website templates. Some of these sites are not going to turn out to be free however. You will be enticed into their site and find out that the charges for these free websites could develop into a great deal of money. There is another negative to these web sites in the same respect to updating your website design as the ones made through your hosting service.

3.) The third option, and in my opinion, the best option for developing the total website design is to purchase website design software. This option will give you complete control of your website design. There is one web design software available that has features that are superior to the others. Click on the link above to take a look at all of the features of this program. This software will allow you to manage and edit every detail of your web design from your own PC.

Website design is my favorite pass time and have a site where I charge absolutely nothing for web sites so that newbies just starting out and looking for help can take advantage of free web sites for getting into internet marketing .I do all of the up front work on these sites, including article writing so that anyone who wants one of these web sites will not have to spend their time preparing any of these details. Instead, they can dive right into promoting their site and getting the ranking necessary to make it profitable.

It is now time that you must insert a few articles relevant with targeted keywords. You can either write articles yourself or you can incorporate private label rights articles on your site. I would suggest at first you include 5 or 6 articles in your web design. You only need to include enough articles into your website to get indexed with the search engines during this period of web design. You will need to add more relevant articles to your site to provide fresh content.

You should always add your own wording to any PLR articles that you use on your web page because these articles are purchased by a lot of other people that develop web sites. Changing these articles by adding some of your own unique content will make your articles have different content than the ones that are published on all the other web sites. You also must do some keyword research to find keywords and phrases to include in your articles. Medium and long tail keywords will give better opportunities for you to rank in the search engines. These phrases are the ones that have 3 to 4 words that searchers enter into their browser for search terms. These terms will be the ones that searchers type into their browser to find your website. In other words, if you were designing a site pertaining to pet supplies, perform a keyword search with a main keyword as your keyword and you will receive  some associated keyword phrases along with the number of searches for each phrase. You will get several keywords and phrases from your research. Decide on 8 to 10 higher searched- lower competition words or phrases for inclusion in your information on your web pages. You need to be absolutely sure that the terms are relevant to the information that you insert them into.

You can now determine a name for your website and the title of each of the web pages you wrote. Search engines will examine the title of the page and determine the relevancy to the website and the written content on the page. The site and page title will be combined by the search engines to form a kind of an index for that page. The combination of the page title and website name should not be longer than about 77 characters including spaces. Anything greater than this is going to be truncated by the search engines and is not considered by SEO professionals to be search engine friendly.

It is finally time to release your completed website design to the Web to be indexed by the search engines. There are some SEO tactics that should be done on the completed website after publishing and the SEO items can be performed while the website is in the process of indexing.

How to build a great Website before you have your lunch

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

Isn’t life wonderful when you get up in the morning with a terrific idea for a business and you have a site on the net before lunchtime?

For years I’d struggled along with Dreamweaver, Frontpage and various other overly complicated software packages, until I stumbled upon the XSitePro Website Design Software.

Here’s the crazy thing.

I bought XSitePro and let it sit gathering virtual dust on my computers hard drive for six months before taking it for a proper spin. Yes, I did have a little look when I bought it, but I didn’t spend enough time to master it.

I finally took the time to go through the tutorial a couple of months ago. It took me no more than a couple of hours to build the test site and I remember thinking at the time that I never thought building web sites could be quite so easy.

Then I got going on rebuilding one of my existing sites in XSitePro. I had build that site originally using Dreamweaver, which had taken me about three weeks to a month. Here’s the amazing thing. It only took me a day to recreate it from scratch with XSitePro. I was completely and absolutely stunned.

The next site I decided to build was for a new idea I had. I’d love to share that idea with you, but it is top secret ?

That totally new site took me two days from start to finish and that included over one hundred pages. You read that correctly! Over one-hundred brand new pages. I did it with the help of several of the ingenius features that help you to create multi-page websites in record time. One of these features will let you take any page and convert it into multiple pages that will automatically include the Next and Previous buttons. If I had done it manually it would have taken me several hours, but it took me just a few seconds. Honestly, it is so easy.

So, if you’ve not already checked it out go and do so right away. It will blow your virtual socks off. Here’s the link:

Easiest way to Build a Money Generating Website

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

There are hundreds of software packages around for creating websites. These range from free to thousands of dollars, but for most new web designers the vast majority of these tools are either far too complex or far too basic to do anything that is worthwhile. One tool that bucks this trend, and is absolutely ideal for anyone wanting to build their first web site is XSitePro.

This popular web site design software is used by everyone from complete newbies through to highly experienced Internet Marketing professionals for the simple reason that it is the quickest and easiest way of building top quality, highly search engine optimized web sites.

In addition to providing you with all the tools and features you need, XSitePro also comes with a library of well written documentation, which will really help you to hit the ground running. There is an Essentials Manual, which weighs in at around five hundred pages, and two mammoth tools manuals that come in at a hefty one thousand pages between them. The good news is that both of the tools manuals are only meant as reference guides. You don’t need to print them out or read them cover to cover. They’re wonderful resources to have at your disposal whenever you need a little more in-depth guidance than what appears on the essentials manual.

In addition to the Essentials Manual and Tools Manuals there is also an excellent tutorial that takes you step-by-step through creating your first website. This tutorial will take you anywhere between forty-five minutes and an hour and a half to two hours to finish depending on how experienced you are. When you’ve completed the tutorial you’ll have created a web site, added pages and various content to those web pages, and even published it to some test web space online.

So, if you’ve been struggling to master Dreamweaver, or you are already an experienced website designer, but want something to create great looking web sites quicker than ever, make sure to check out the XSitePro 2 Design Software. I’m sure you’ll be impressed.

Web design software - the simple choice

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

Webmasters are busier today than ever before. With concentration on promotion, marketing, and SEO tactics, there’s little room for added problems arising from web page editing software. Unfortunately, webmasters today are bombarded with software programs all across the internet. Which do you choose?

Most hosting companies offer what is called an “onsite editor” or “webpage builder.” These programs can certainly accomplish the job and may provide an easy interface for those new to HTML. The disadvantage to using these programs is you will outgrow them quickly. Many aren’t capable of working with CSS or Php. Many limit your graphic usage or expect you choose a generic template from a set that every customer uses. This will limit your capability of making a unique and interesting site.

There are a number of free HTML editors online and many do support more advanced features. These might be a reasonable starting point, but also tend to be quite problematic. The software may be old or obsolete. The functioning may work great today, but can just as quickly throw bugs or other glitches your way.

Your software should offer a number of capabilities which aren’t commonly found in most programs. Do you want to use feedback forms? Your web authoring software should at least work with Php. Do you like Flash on web sites? Does your software includes flash funcionality? Many of the free and cheap editors simply won’t work with Flash, Php and CGI.

It is important to remember that when you purchase web authoring software, you get what you pay for. It’s imperative that your product both satisfy your needs now and continue to do so in the future. Can you program keep you with your growing skills?

Web authoring software should not be a minor investment. It should be something that will last for years and be flexible enough to work with a range of design and programming languages.

Dreamweaver is the ultimate web authoring software for web designers. It is used by high tech web development companies as well as the home webmaster. It offers full capabilities for CSS, XHTML, and XML. Dreamweaver’s offerings do not stop there.

The Dreamweaver software can incorporate and play Flash files in the WYSWYG editor. It offers a three-way interface for coding work where the webmaster can view the page as it will be when published, as pure code, or as a split screen of both.

Dreamweaver is compatible with a wide range of programming languages as well as design code. It can help you with Php, ColdFusion, Javascript and JSP just to name a few. Dreamweaver offers many benefits for beginning webmasters and advanced capabilities for experienced users.

When you’re choosing your web authoring software Dreamweaver should be a serious consideration. Not many programs offer the options and fexibility of Dreamweaver.

Keep in Mind that Dreamweaver is a professional web design program and can sometimes be a little overwhelming for beginner. The great news is that there are lots of great tutorials around for dreamweaver.

You’ll find some good dreamweaver tutorials at www.adobe.com and you’ll also find some good free video tutorials on youtube.com – Just visit youtube.com and do a search for dreamweaver tutorials. On the other hand there is a great dreamweaver tutorial available for purchase such as www.dreamweavermadesimple.com and www.dreamweaverbeginnertips.com
