Logo Design Price Guide

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

The market for business logo designs is a relatively competitive one indeed. Various logo design firms promote a variety of design packages to meet different customer requirements and budgets.

With so many options to choose from, the question usually asked is how much should one pay for a decent corporate logo design.

Simply speaking, logo design price ranges from as unbelievably low as $30 to thousands of dollars. Obviously the more you spend the more extras you can expect to receive. But to help you decide on which logo design price would better match your needs, take a gander at the guide below.

Sub $100 Logo
These logos might be cheap but the good design quality has amazed many. But a bit of homework is needed to make sure you get the best business logo designers at this price range. This range is better suited for customers who want their logo designs fast with as little interaction as possible on a tight budget.

$100 - $1000 Range
If you have a bit of spare change and a little time, you can afford to hire logo designers who are more service oriented. The logo creation quality is comparable to the logo designs in the sub $100  logo design price bracket. However, they present a more personal approach when dealing with clients. They gladly take the time to speak to customers about their needs.

$1000 - $5000 Range
Traditional custom logo designers ordinarily charge this amount for the services they render. They spend a considerable amount of time trying to get as much relevant data as possible before creating a logo. Their examination of your company, competitors, merchandise and target groups would enable them to advise you on what look and feel you should choose. I would propose this category to anyone who can afford it. The possibility of the company logo designs being of greater quality than those in the first two categories is likely plus you get valuable advice as well.

$5000 and More
This range befits those who want to launch branding campaigns. Branding firms develop logos as part of a corporate identity formulation exercise. Each individual logo is provided a thick blueprint that would contain the logo rationale, logo dimensions and logo usage requirements. The inclusion of the blueprint does wonders to the perceived quality of the logo creations. This option is best suited for large companies who can spend on branding and rebranding themselves and their merchandise.

Before you make up your mind, it is always best to take a step back and examine what you really need. If you are just kicking off your business, most likely that you would be on a very restricted budget. It is not uncommon to opt for for an affordable corporate logo designer provided you do some research. Visit logo design sites and have a look at their logo samples. If they can offer what you need at this particular time for a figure that would not stretch finances, then it may be an option you should seriously consider.

Custom Designing Corporate Logos For Construction Firms

Friday, June 19th, 2009

The construction arena is growing more and more competitive. Larger firms handle the major development projects while smaller and newer ones must display their quality with several subcontracts before moving on to larger ones.

My design agency has just been presented an assignment to produce a new construction logo design for a local construction company. To kick off the assignment, the art director and I dropped by our client’s office for a brief interview session to learn more about the company.

Like many others we have questioned, most companies are aware they need a new identity to remain competitive but are not exactly sure what they want. That is where we come into play.

Before embarking on the logo design, we usually inquire about the history of the firm, its turnover, its goals, its specialty, its target market and the reason it wants a new construction logo design; just to get a better feel of things.

We ascertained that they are a relatively young organization, 9 years in the business with 4 important subcontract projects and many smaller ones under their belts, each one more impressive than the last. They are now seeking to adopt a blue ocean strategy and proceed into eco-friendly medium cost suburban development - a niche with a low number of competitors - and thus seizing the opportunity to garner a reputation for themselves as one of the first companies to service this niche.

From the meeting, we found out that they have the necessary resources to take on medium scale development projects. Their chosen niche also makes it easier to differentiate them from other developers.

At our agency, we had our usual brainstorming session and charted our art direction. Following that we employed the expertise of 4 designers to produce individual interpretations or logo samples to turn those ideas to images.

After a number of days, the logo concepts were ready for show. Some designs utilized stylized text while others used construction related graphics like levelers and trowels to get the point across. Although all 4 construction logo design samples were unique in their own way, they all kept to to two main points.

Professionalism
Developers deal with multimillion dollar projects. In order to be awarded such projects, they must always be regarded as a professional and responsible entity with admirable business ethics. Hence, the smooth and clear designs reflected that appropriately.

Eco-Friendliness
This is the niche this firm is determined to penetrate. Obviously, the designs, either by color or graphics, calls to attention the company’s dedication to the preservation of the environment.

Now it is up to our clients to choose the design the prefer. Alternatively they could make changes here and there but as professional designers, we must make certain the design eventually keeps to the key points expressed earlier.

Creating Corporate Logos For Construction Companies

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

logo design should have a link with the products and services of the business included. The truth is, it should reflect the quality of tangible and intangible products produced by companies. Logos designs scope from anything such as animated alphabets, symbols and even cartoon based characters. They all work the same purpose; that is they contribute a supporting hand in creating an overall professional look to the company. Logos designs must be implemented to match the products of a company. Such as, a logo with a depiction of an animated car will have no meaning in a construction company dealing in the development of household property or complex electrical equipment.

I have just received a job to produce a logo for a local construction company. They had no idea behind this at all on what they demanded or how they wanted their logo to look like. Therefore we had to think in order to be able to propose tremendous logo samples.

For starters, we have an interview with the customers to get to understand more about their company such as who is their target market, what kind of work they do such as renovations, build houses or apartment buildings. Besides that we also require the general size of the company. These details are very useful as with a larger company we would need a more “professional” and sleek look of the construction logo design. Most essential is we need to know who is their prime target customer. Once we have grouped all these information it is much more easier for us to come up with construction logo design samples.

Besides knowing all the details about the company we need to examine into 4 various creatives concept

1. Construction Logo Fonts
usually leans on the formal, Times New Roman or Sans Serif style families. This is the prime factor in exhibiting that corporate outlook, that definitive business-clinching attitude that says your company can create the service within the agreed time. The fonts shows the company name so its the first thing that will consciously register on the viewer’s mind.

2. Logo Images in Construction
are great to be geometric solids, three-dimensional shapes, or blocks such as cement spade, buildings, cement mixer and so on. These speaks of resilience and order, saying that a construction company can do its job perfectly. Graphs, eye views and blueprints are also welcome and fresh images, most of which are prepared up today in younger, up-and-coming construction firms. They reach out to a wide range of people who unconsciously seeks of the great and the new and still having that businesslike and tremendous character.

3. The Colors in Construction Logos
tends to be subdued and established, as most creation veer away from loud and bold colors that are usually attributed as disorderly and formless. Brown, black, and blue are great over the rest, usually as the controlling colors in the logo design. Other colors can also be taken and an expert logo designer will be able to bring out its full possible with careful concepts and approaches.

4. Styles in Construction Logos
are, in truth, varied and free-forming. This is often the filed of logo design where the look of technology, of abstract, of landscape meets and diffuse into one. custom logo designers are always upcoming with tremendous ideas to get the trend forward, making construction logo a truly memorable sign or reliability and progress.

A truly reliable construction logo design remains in the mind, symbolic of urban living.
